Hidden Agenda has always sought to sustain a firm commitment to support its community, in particular neighborhood youth, through a series of educational and cultural enrichment programs:
Hidden Agenda was a proud co-sponsor of the 1998-99 Jerry Walker Youth Basketball Tournament, held in Jersey City, NJ.
Hidden Agenda co-sponsored the Woman's Health Care in the Millennium (WHIM) HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (1999) and the Harlem Health Fair (2000) with the major topical focus on HIV/AIDS educational initiatives in an area largely plagued by crime and drug-addiction.
Hidden Agenda stood by North General Hospital in its World HIV and AIDS Testing Day event (2001), once again offering support to community-based efforts targeting underserved areas and providing them with access to education and preventative health services.
Hidden Agenda has also been a proud sponsor and participant of the annual GMHC AIDS Walk.
In November, 2001, Marsha Taylor, and Hidden Agenda, established The Manuel DelValle, Jr. Memorial Scholarship at The University of Maryland College Park. This educational scholarship honors Firefighter Lieutenant Manny DelValle of Engine Company 5. Manny was one of many heroes lost while responding to the tragic events at The World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The University of Maryland College Park was Manny's alma mater. This endowed scholarship serves as a vehicle to provide an opportunity for generations of students to achieve a college education.
Most recently, Marsha has been a speaker for the Coca-Cola Apollo Theatre Academy tour of city high schools, speaking to students about post-secondary career choices and the entertainment industry. She was also a speaker at the National Action Network's 2003 convention.
